Leaders’ Commitment
TIDE is working with energy leaders to encourage them to lead by example, and drive change in their own organisation and industry through a TIDE leaders’ commitment. The Commitment is aimed at CEOs / UK Country Manager level – those that are in a position to make strategic decisions for the business.
By signing up, leaders commit to
- Visibly demonstrate allyship and promote EDI
- Challenge fellow leaders and stakeholders in poor EDI practice; ie refuse to participate in or host non-diverse panels and taking action and offering advice when they see poor practice
- Include at least one EDI target as part of their performance objectives, and ensure their direct reports do the same.
- Ensure senior accountability (Board level) for EDI within their organisation, and frameworks, policies and processes for reporting harassment and abuse
- Ensure the organisation they lead
- has inclusive recruitment practices
- gathers EDI data and set targets for improvement within 12 months if one does not exist
- embeds EDI into its business mission, strategy and values to drive an inclusive company culture
- completes the EDI Health Index from 2024
To ensure the Commitment is meaningful and Leaders are sincere in their pledge, TIDE will request evidence of the above actions. Below are senior leaders that have signed up already, if you’d also like to sign or put your CEO forward, fill out the form below to express interest and the team will be in touch with more details.
